Bob's Blog

Bob’s Blog Entry Friday June 26th:

Well the Spring flew by and the Summer is off to a good start. Well except for this weather. Back in the winter, Apremont got involved with the Dwight Street Studios. Besides working on a video project we decided to relocate our studios there as well. There is so much promise here, between the location, the building and all the wonderful people here.

We started with 1 studio and decided to go with 2 small ones. This place hit me so much, I gave up Mattoon Street to make it happen. We are in stage 1 which is mostly a workspace. Stage 2 is being built. This will be offices, small studio and editing and monitoring space. It may even have a small showroom space for the unique treasures. The studio space can also be used for outside projects such as:  Meetings, classes and more...Email me about renting the space when it is available.

I finished moving into space 1 and lots to unpack. I have to do it quick since I need to get back to the video stuff!

The insight show is taped, I look forward to seeing the finished project and continuing work with them on future projects.

The spring artist markets are done and look forward to the fall. Nona and David have many plans between now and then for the gallery. Maybe some holiday stuff as well.

Octavia’s movie night is going great. Outdoor horror movies by the canal, I love it!

Finally got to Betty’s roller derby. Tiring but fun. Still don’t get it but working with Moose and the camera was great!

Now to continue where I left off on the  Dwight ST Studio video project.

I also want to start working on a sample video photo album. Hope to talk with Paul this week about these projects. As well as getting the movie up and rolling again.

Stephen’s book has started to sell, he hopes to start working again on volume 2 real soon.

Nona has suggested some things for Apremont to present in the gallery: First a video night where we could screen some of our past work. She mentioned  specifically  On The Scene: A Class Act at Wistariahurst museum.  Second, having our casting call at the gallery. And third having Stephen, do an autograph session and meet and greet as well a a reading.

So lots going on and the potential is ENDLESS…. Moving to the Dwight St Studios is the first step in the right direction for myself and the Company.

Well that’s it for now, talk soon

 Bob

Well Summer flew by and can’t believe it has been snowing this past week. Lot’s of happenings since my last entry. I apologize for not updating the site or the blog in a while. I will try and work on it.

Well where should I start. I am completely out of the Dwight Street Studios. Not sure if they even exist anymore. We were messed over on our second space which was supposed to be our main studio space. Agreements were not honored. And still waiting for a refund on a partial deposit. My first spot which was supposed to be a live in artist space was not quite legal. I do not miss the place but I miss all the people I met there. Hopefully we will reconnect soon.

Not sure who we can blame for the drama that we had to deal with. Yes bad things have happened to us because of it, homelessness, packing, moving, getting rid of lots of possessions and the business being on hold.

But good things have happened too: Moving from Matoon st, finally got some decent sleep till I got kicked out of Holyoke. Saving money to work on the biz and to enjoy summer. Finally getting the perfect spot for our studio. I do want to thank the FireFighters in Holyoke for looking out for us. Especially the chief and Inspector Lemieux.

Well after being messed out of our studio(wanted to use other words) I found the perfect studio space. Thanks to David and the Design Resource Center for renting us the perfect and affordable spot. It is coming along great and will be set for our 11/1 grand opening. Hope to see you all there.

Now that the studio is coming along, looking for a new place to live.

Well let’s see this summer we had some fun, lynn and I went to the beach. Issues at work. Was dating someone for a bit but did not like something I did in my past and disappeared. Had to hear through a friend that it was over. Lovely huh? And its not like I murdered someone or did something immoral lol Got to love it.. Afterall I was willing to compromise. That’s all Im saying.

In the weeks prior to our grand opening we are starting to get noticed. Special thanks to Miss JD for telling everyone about us. We have been hired to shoot two projects for the JCC. Last night we shot “Gypsy” . It was a great time and I loved the performace. Would love to work with the cast and crew again. I used our new Hard Drive Cam and the footage looks great so far. Will be xfering it to computer tonight and getting dvd’s started. Next Sunday I will be taping their Miss Senior Pageant.

Between all of that and 11/1 getting all the finishing touches ready for Apremont Studios.

I know I said it about Holyoke but things are finally looking up for us. Maybe we had to get through Holyoke to experience all that we are now and for the good.

 All my Best,

 Bob 10/17/2009
